I started packing 2 days ago. Before that I was SICK! It was horrid. I was so worried that I would not be well when I got on that plane. I really hate to fly sick. I had a sore throat, fever and a stuffy nose. I am not 97% better which is fine with me.
The itinerary for the the trip has change a little. Instead of taking my father's car we are going to be renting a truck or some thing big with 4X4. It will make the man feel a little bit better about driving around during the rainy season. We will be spending one night at the beach then heading for few hours at the thermal waters and then spend the night next to Arenal Volcano. The drive to Monteverde spend the night in the could forest. Now that I think about it we might want to wait and do the hot springs after everything so we are not in a rush to find some place we have never been. I guess we'll figure it all out when we get there.

8 days until Costa Rica.
I'm starting to get prepped for C.R. Pre-packing, getting goodies together and getting list from the family to import back in to the states. I'm looking at what I will need (as far as cloths) and what I want to take and narrowing down my options. I'll also be going through The Man's things and pick out stuff for him. I have to keep reminding myself "It's only a week, only seven days, really only five days because of traveling...... it's only a week. A few shirts, pants and the necessities..... that's all." It's really hard to do because I've never gone for less then 2 or 3 weeks.
As far as importing back to the states, the main thing that people want is coffee, coffee, COFFEE! You might be wondering why would my friends and family be wanting coffee? Well after you have had premium Costa Ria coffee and only paid 2 bucks for a pound, it's hard to spend the money on the "good stuff" here. I can't wait to have coffee there. It is so less acidic there, I love it. I HAVE to drink milk in my coffee here. There, no way not needed. It's lovely. :sigh:
I've found out more of the plan of the few days that we are there. We will be spending 2 days and one night at this hotel which my brother has stayed at. Then at the hot springs for a day or so. Sadly, I know I'm going to have to go get my license renewed. I'm not happy about sitting around for a few hour waiting in line. And you think the DMV here is bad... HA! You know nothing! :P I know I will be spending a few hours getting gifts and such. Happily, I already know what I want and that it should make it easier. I'm still wait on lists from the family and that might make things a little harder but we shall see.
Okay off to bed. I need to wake up and go to the gym.... not that I have time to get my body beach ready but I have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks so I'm trying to slim down.

Costa Rica for my brithday! :D
Soo I'm going to be going to CR for my birthday! OH YEAH!
The man was super sweet and tried to sneak a trip to Germany but my brother could not get the time off so that plan crashed and burned. As alternative I ask to go to Costa Rica for just one week, the shortest trip time I've ever taken there. I got the okay from Papi and made with the puppy dog eyes. AND WIN! We got our tickets for the 15th to the 22nd. I told my day I wanted him to take atleast one day off from work, and he has told he should get at least 4!
The good part is that the man and I can just take the car and go where ever we want. As a Costa Rican citizen I can drive there and even if I wasn't it still would not matter all that much because a valid US driver license is good for 90 days there. My plan is to take the man to at least 2 places a black sand beach and hot springs. My bother-in-law and sister say that Termales del Bosque is the way to go for hot spring. I agree, I've been there before and it's very....... local in the not most tourist go there because it's more "rustic" I guess. As for a black sand beach it seems like Playa Dominical . Which should be nice, I've been there before but it's no Playas De Coco. Which is my favorite set of beaches there.
I'm going to start making a list of thing I need to take and whatever on wants brought back. I wonder how long it's going to be. :}

The Farmer's Market
I went to the farmer's market with Mama. Then ran around with Papi.
This last picture is a stadium that the People's Republic of Chine gave to Costa Rica as a gift. They even brought in the workers. As it stands now they are 6 month ahead of schedule. All because they brought their own people. :} If they hadn't I'm sure it would be 2 years behind schedule.

I've finish!
Today I finished my first scarf! I'm very proud of it and the plushie this it's just the right size for her. Papi and I were planning to go shopping for gifts then go to see his doctor. But the traffic was horrid in San Jose so we ended up just going to the doctor. We got there at 3:30 for an appointment at 4:00 he was seen around 6:00 and left 20 minutes after. Ahh, tico time strikes again. So we headed home for dinner and bed. No much going on today but that is how life is here sometimes.
I'm being woken up early tomorrow so I can go to the market with Mama. And take tons of pictures ofcourse. Papi has another appointment tomorrow in the morning but after that we should be shopping.

Avatar
Today started it as a DND with the normal eating, drinking (water) playing on the net, read.
But around 3:00 p.m. there is a phone call and Mama asks me if I want to go to the Movies with Carolina and Richardo around 4:30. Of course I say yes. I really didn't care what the movie was it would be nice just to get out of the house. Also, I know they are not going to take me to a movie that I couldn't understand. Around 3:30 my father says he is heading to the bank so I head out with him. We also had to run to a store for Mama. We end up talking about gay marriage, why I don't like certain thing about most religion and why I'm happy with what I believe. Heavy stuff, huh?
By the time we get back home it's 4:25 and I'm a little worried I'll not be able to change my cloths before they get here. But I forgot that I'm in Costa Rica and everything is on "Tico Time" where most people are 20 to 30 minutes late for almost everything. They ended up getting here around 5 and we headed off to the movie. I found out when I got in the car that we were going to see Avatar! I was very exited about seeing I had wanted to watch it when I got back to the states and now I don't have to worry. I really enjoyed the movie, it brought up some good points and I really appreciate it when a movie can make you think about how you live your life. I think the biggest thing I took away from Avatar was you have to think about how what you do effects the natural world around you. Also the graphic were KICK BUTT!!! The world that they live on was breath taking to say the very least. The only thing I didn't like was that we saw it in 3-D which gives me the worst headache. I think because I don't have 20/20 and it strains my eyes. Other then that, I was really delighted by the whole thing.
